Refining
Our refining subsidiaries operate two mid-content refineries. Our complex full-coking, medium-sour crude oil refinery with a nameplate capacity of 132,000 barrels per day (bpd) in Coffeyville, Kansas, is situated approximately 100 miles from Cushing, Oklahoma, and predominately produces clean transportation products, such as gasoline, diesel fuels and other refined products. The Coffeyville refinery predominately markets to the central mid-continent area through rack marketing and bulk sales and to other destinations utilizing third-party product pipeline networks. Gasoline and diesel fuel also are sold at our truck loading racks.
Our subsidiaries also operate a complex crude oil refinery with a nameplate capacity of 74,500 bpd in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. This refinery is located about 65 miles south of Oklahoma City and approximately 130 miles from Cushing. It predominately produces clean transportation products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel—including renewable diesel—military jet fuel, solvents and asphalt. The Wynnewood refinery ships its finished products via pipeline, railcar and truck, focusing its efforts on Oklahoma and parts of Arkansas, as well as eastern Missouri. The pipeline system used by the Wynnewood refinery is capable of multi-directional flow, providing access to Texas markets, as well as adjoining states with pipeline connections.
In addition, our subsidiaries operate approximately 970 miles of owned, leased and joint-venture pipelines, approximately 125 crude oil transports, a network of strategically located crude oil gathering tank farms and approximately 2.2 million barrels of leased crude oil storage capacity.
